My Students

Caring, risk-takers, thinkers, inquirers... I have twenty-one international baccalaureate students in my kindergarten classroom.

They are growing everyday in every possible way -emotionally, socially, physically and academically. They are all reading or on the verge of take-off. I am an excited teacher seeking more supplies to fit their literacy needs!

My Project

As a fourth year teacher, who has bounced between grades, my literacy library is lacking at the kindergarten level. I have accumulated a good mixture through scholastic book orders, but I would love to have the start of a leveled library available to my kids. For the children still working on sight words, I have requested sight books for guided reading instruction. For my students already reading independently, I have requested the various kindergarten-first grade levels.

I love that light-bulb reaction you get when a child realizes he/she can read.

I would REALLY appreciate the help starting my leveled library and the additional guided reading resources for sight word practice. Please help me help my students realize they can do anything!
