This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are energetic! They enjoy making projects and posters. With one hundred students though, we run out of room to store them while they are creating them. We need some drying racks!

Students have a wide range of learning styles in my class and projects and posters are a great way to reach many them.

It gives them an opportunity to succeed and learn in different ways. Many of my students are special education students and do far better with hands-on learning.

My Project

These 3 drying racks will help us organize the space and store projects in progress. The 2 packs of ceiling hooks will let us display their work. Currently, my students are in the process of making toothpick bridges and posters and there is not a spare bit of counter space to be had, or cupboard, or basically any flat space. It is one of the rare times that being a traveling teacher with three rooms has been a good thing. The toothpick bridges also took a little more glue than I anticipated. I am also requesting 1 gallon of glue and pump for us to use while creating these projects.

Organization and storage are so key to be able to work on hands-on projects and learning experience.

These supplies will allow my students to create a wide variety of projects and store their masterpieces!
