My Students
Can you imagine learning about magnets with only a set of 4 magnets for the entire class?
I teach 20 enthusiastic first grade students. Our class and school are made up of a diverse population. We have access to the basic resources. Due to recent budget cuts, we lack some of the extras that enrich the learning environment and make learning fun.
My Project
We study magnets as part of our force and motion unit in science. We have a set of 4 bar magnets to share with other first grade classes. Having these magnetic wands and magnetic activities, and non-fiction science books about magnets will allow the students to learn about magnets through hands-on activities.
Your donations to this project will give my students the ability to experience magnets by actually using them in various hands-on activities. These materials will provide the students with opportunities to explore magnetic force.
