This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us learn to love reading! Our kindergarten students are just learning to read, and they are having a blast! But reading in school isn't enough - they need to transfer their love of reading to their home lives, too!

The Kindergarten students at our new public elementary school are learning to love reading at school through early leveled readers, picture books and their favorite characters and authors.

Unfortunately, many students do not have access to engaging books on their levels at home. It is imperative for their early education that students be able to transport books to and from school.

My Project

The Book Buddy Bags we are requesting will allow more than 85 kindergarten students the opportunity to safely transport their independent reading books home, so they can practice reading engaging, leveled books every day of the week. The books will also safely travel back to school, where they can be enjoyed by other students!

Any donation offered to this cause is so greatly appreciated, and will affect the daily lives and reading habits of more than 85 students.

So please, support our cause and help give our students Book Buddy Bags that will help them learn to read at school and at home!
