My Students

Everyone can learn, but everyone learns in a different way and on a different day. My students have such varied styles of learning that it makes it a challenge to help them achieve their potential without a little extra help.

I have 22 students (a full class by Florida law).

My students come from all different walks of life and are fabulous students who work incredibly hard. Our school is a Title I school, which receives federal funding to help compensate for our communities lower family income, to help support students in many different ways.

My Project

With the Tablet, my students will be able to read, highlight and review stories and books by themselves or as cooperative teams. With access to the internet, they will be able to access dictionaries, and an online thesaurus to boost their vocabulary. For my auditory learners, they will now be able to listen to novels and stories on tape/CD to better help them visual story events and capture their imaginative thoughts.

Not only will this project help my students read better and analyze stories more accurately, but it will boost their technology skills which is a growing factor in our world today.
