My Students

Twenty-first century learners need 21st century tools. Help my students learn with digital cameras and Google docs for our digital media class.

I work in a school that is four years-old and is home to many diverse students.

We currently house roughly 800 hundred students and anticipate gaining 200 hundred more students in the next few years. Many of the classroom supplies were purchased with my own money and we are looking to you for help. My students are focused and have dreams bigger than we did in middle school. I only hope that I can supply them with the tools and technology they need to be successful, not only in the classroom, but also in high school, college, and life.

My Project

My students need four cameras and rechargeable batteries for our digital media class.With the economic downturn for districts and schools tightening budgets, I find myself turning to people like you to help give students the opportunity to learn through the use of digital cameras. Technology creates hurdles for teachers dues to its cost. My hope is that I can supply my students with enough digital cameras that they can work in groups of four. With these cameras, my students will be able to take pictures, upload and and edit pictures. My students will also be learning how to use Google docs. They will learn how to incorporate pictures into documents, surveys, presentations and posters. These skills will give my students an opportunity to learn the skills needed to thrive in a technologically driven society.

My students love technology and can learn so much when equipped with these tools.
