My Students

I have 23 first grade students in my classroom. We use our Smartboard most of the day everyday. The only problem with this great piece of equipment is that it sometimes limits my movement in the classroom. I am sometimes "stuck" at the computer operating it.

Since we are a very low income school, I have some very needy students in my classroom.

Sitting at a computer teaching is not feasible with these students. I need to be able to walk around my classroom while still being able to use my Smartboard. These students are very eager to learn and need my direct attention a lot of the time.

My Project

If I am able to receive an Apple iPad through a generous donation I will be able to walk around my classroom with the iPad and still work from my Smartboard. The iPad allows me to write on it and everything shows up onto the Smartboard. Therefore, I can give the individual help to those students that need it while still challenging those students that need less help.

Through your generous donation my students can have my individual help while still learning with technology that will further them in the world that is quickly moving into a full technology based lifestyle.
