This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Several of my students have vision problems. Either they can't afford glasses or they are lost or broken. I need to be able to project a image to all my students.

My students are inner city kids for a very large public school district.

Many of them have vision problems. As with most children, having a classroom that is more geared for the visual learner really makes a difference. We have projectors, Elmo's and computers but my class really needs a decent screen. Our current screen is as large as a TV.

My Project

Right now I have to project the image on the wall which has a little screen and a aluminum track right though the middle. I'm using tape and paper to hid the track and with that, the image appears bisected. Many of my students are asking for seats in front so they can see the board.

Our district is in serious deficit and the is no end to the budget cuts.

The current situation has our school scrambling to raise funds from every source available. We can barely afford quality writing paper.
