My Students

Grammar seems to be boring for some 2nd grade students. Rather than use paper and pencils to teach grammar, these games will engage my students when learning about nouns, verbs, and punctuation. These games will allow them to "play" with their words!

My classroom consists of 23 students (13 boys, and 10 girls).

Our school sits in a rural community in Illinois. Our particular building holds grades K-3. They are an eager group of learners and love to be challenged everyday. Like most all other classrooms, they are very diverse learners. Differentiating instruction is very important so that the needs of every student are met.

My Project

These particular resources will enhance my students' learning of daily language skills. These skills are the foundation to a great education. Without using hands-on activities, some students will not grasp these concepts. These concepts are crucial in daily conversations and writing, as my students learn to be lifelong learners.

By providing these students the opportunity to actually "use" these language skills, rather than paper and pencil, skill and drill, they will better understand the English language and become the readers and writers which we aspire them to be.
