My Students

Putting Nature into the hands of students allows them to explore through touch, sight, and smell. Students crave items in their hands and nature comes alive. Owl Pellets are a wonderful way to allow them to explore, problem solve, investigate and team build all at the same time

We are sixth grade public students who wish to explore and explain by doing.

We have completed projects such as Eco columns with 2 liter bottles and resources available to us. Our plants have grown well and we enjoy seeing the change. Our interest has peaked this year as this is our first year to have a class exclusive to our science education.

My Project

We are requesting owl pellets for our students to dissect. Our students will explore the connection from digestion to excretion to dissection. Problem solving is a life long skill our students need to master. They will work with partners to dissect, sort, and identify animal bones. They will then reassemble the bones to identify the creatures that were digested by the owl. Team building is a large part of this project.

Science education is essential to improving our daily lives through inventions and medical care.

We depend upon our current and future generations to improve our relationship with our environment. It is my goal to peak the interest of my science students with projects that they have the opportunity to investigate and problem solve using nature and the community. Thank you for considering our worthwhile project.
