My Students

We want to learn juggling!! Juggling has so many benefits that make it a great activity for our physical education class. Juggling is a great aerobic exercise, develops and helps to practice hand-eye coordination, helps develop ambidexterity, improves balance, motor skills, and rhythm!

Our school has a high population of free and reduced lunch, but we have awesome students who are eager to learn new things in our Physical Education class.

Kindergrtners through sixth graders attend physical education in a rotation with 2 other classes. Each year, as the physical education teacher, I try to introduce new and exciting activities to my students. I also find ways to integrate regular education concepts into our PE activities. I can't wait to introduce juggling to my awesome students so they can have the chance to gain from all the benefits of juggling.

My Project

I am requesting a class set of scarves and a class set of juggling balls. The scarves are a great way to introduce juggling to young students. Scarves fall slower and allow students more time to react and catch it before it falls. After students master the scarves, we will move onto using juggling balls as more of a challenge.

Students these days have more of an interest in video games and TV than they do any kind of physical activity.

By providing my students with juggling equipment, you are providing my students a new and exciting activity to get them motivated towards physical activity.
