My students need physical education equipment, such as a Jump Band kit and some Jump Bands, that will help increase physical activity in a new and exciting way.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember what it was like when you were in your Physical Education class? My students love to come into the gym and use up all their energy. I have requested the Jump Band Kit and extra Jump Bands (for a whole class) so my students can experience exercising in a fun and exciting way.
My students range from 1st grade to 8th grade in Brooklyn NY.
The school is poorly funded and monies allocated to Physical Education instruction is virtually non-existent. Coming to the gym is their time to be able stretch their legs and be physically active. My students love to come to Physical education and have fun.
My Project
Student success depends on a blend of academic skills, good health, and physical and mental fitness
Attaining the Jump Band Kit and extra Jump Bands it will allow my students to learn something new through music. I am trying to not only test my students minds but their bodies as well.

Childhood obesity is the leading cause of childhood diabetes.
Getting the students moving will help them get more physically fit and healthier. By funding this project you will help me get one step closer to fighting childhood obesity and diabetes.
