My Students

We are a group of teachers with mufti media presentations of PowerPoint slides, videos, and movie clips tied together in lesson presentations. We want to copy these presentations and send them to the teachers in our area. The presentations are exciting, engaging and makes the teacher more effective.

Our school district is a poor rural area.

The students come from tough areas and mostly come from finical challenged families. The teachers get only a small amount of parent involvement and this creates a big learning problem. The lesson presentations are exciting and the students enjoy the presentations. The presentations are color coded to meet the state SOL criteria and free the teachers up to work with challenged students. We have more challenged students in our school than the our three High Schools this copier can make a difference.

My Project

This copier will help teachers to help the students. Both new and old teachers will now have an opportunity to use the best lesson presentations in the county. In addition to great lesson plans all the teachers in each subject will be teaching the same material. Many new ideas come along to help one part of a teachers' needs. But, this copier will help us meet many teachers needs' not just one.

We have a need to change teaching, because students' grades are not improving each year.

Changing the lesson presentations from lecture to power point, videos, and movies that excite the students about subjects' like Shakespeare, History, and Math has got to make a difference. Our school system is not the richest in the world and the teachers have not had a raise in 4 years; therefore a little help is all we ask for thanks.
