Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is Title I and it does have a PTO however, we never receive any funds in order to buy materials. I been teaching for a long time and every year my classes lack these essential science materials. Most of the science experiments require the use of these materials.
My students are very bright and smart students.
They are always eager to learn. I teach them the science curriculum. The science experiments require the use of many science materials. However, my students always lack these materials. Therefore, it is difficult for my students to learn the science objectives since they lack all the materials to conduct the whole experiment.
My Project
Science consists of learning through reading and the majority is through hands-on learning through the use of experiments. Most of the experiments require the use of magnifying glasses in order to explore and investigate all the details of any object. When we have to learn about magnets the students only learn through books and explanation how do magnets work. The other material that consist of the mirrors, it assist the students on learning about science objectives such as reflections. The last material that I am requesting are the compasses. The compasses will assist my students on learning directionality.
Science is an important subject that all students must learn.
However, they will acquire a better understanding through the use of hands-on through experiments. Therefore, my students need these materials in order to fully master the state science objectives.
