My Students

Do you remember the first time you created a project using a computer? My students have not yet had their imaginations captured by all an IMac computer is capable of achieving.

I am a Reading teacher in a Title One school which is located in the Bronx, New York.

My students are wonderful, but struggling readers, who simply need to get excited while learning. Through this end, I firmly believe that children must be exposed to the wonders of computers.

My Project

As I do not have a classroom, it is difficult to use a computer for my students. I must rely on someone else to lend me their room, which usually has one desktop computer, which is a Dell. This computer is generally used for researching on the Internet and word processing. On occasion I have made PowerPoint presentations. What I would like to do this year is teach photo and video editing. The IMac is known for its easy maneuverability. From a creative standpoint, Macs are the best.

My classes do a lot of wonderful things during the school year, such as trips, reading celebrations and writing/performing plays.

To be able to allow my students to create their own masterpieces would excite them beyond words. It would be outrageous to be able to give my kids the best in the world. Thank you for your consideration.
