I teach second grade at a public school in an impoverished and high crime area in urban Pennsylvania.
I have a class of students who love to read. They are very sweet and everyone who meets them falls in love with them. They are constantly requesting to play computer games.
My Project
My C2i project will combine literacy and technology. My students will play literacy games on the computer in order to improve their sequencing, summarizing and writing about the main idea of stories. The students will use the digital photo frame to play videos of themselves summarizing, sequencing and telling the main idea of the books that they read.
I would love to bring my students into the 21st century by giving them literacy and technological skills.
