This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever shared a dictionary? It is very difficult for two people to share, can you imagine three or four needing the same resource.

My school is located on the West Side of Tucson, AZ.

We have a large population of free and reduced lunches. Budget cuts across the country are being felt in every level of private and public business. Students and classrooms are suffering due to the lack of funding. Supplies and materials are much more difficult to obtain.

My Project

Students use dictionaries to reinforce and to help master vocabulary. My students will be able to complete their class work in less time. Conflicts over who uses it first and for how long will no longer plaque the classroom. Students will be able to explore the resource and find all the exciting information that a dictionary has.

Providing the additional resources will allow students to use the dictionaries liberally (not rushed) and they will then be able to discover the additional information that can be found.
