My students need 37 fiction and non-fiction books for our classroom library including "The Curse of King Tut's Tomb" and "Campfire Mallory".

My Students

Do you remember what it was like the first time you walked into your classroom in 4th grade and saw the library full of books?

I am a general education 4th grade teacher.

This is my 6th year at my school. This year my students are reading above grade level. I do not have enough higher level books to meet their needs. They are eager to learn and enjoy reading about famous and important people. My school is located in NYC and is made up of students from many different cultures and backgrounds.

My Project

These books will help my children have a greater choice when choosing books to read at their level during reading workshop. This will help to build their love of learning. Having leveled books helps children build their reading stamina and increase their reading ability.

These books will foster a love of reading in my students and help them explore non-fiction and fiction books at a level that is just right for them.

These books will help fill the baskets in our classroom library so they are overflowing with books to pick from.
