My Students

Do you remember what it was like to read a book or watch a movie and all you want to do is talk about it? My students have not yet discovered that books, like movies, can capture your imagination and then can be shared and talked about!

My students are second grade students in a NY public school.

They are the top class in second grade. They love to read and work on projects together. They come to school everyday with an open mind and willingness to work. They are constantly asking questions and inquiring about books!

My Project

Receiving these series books will really make a difference in our classroom. They will provide my students the opportunity to talk to one another and engage in critical conversations about the books they are reading. We will have book clubs using our series books, that will foster independence for my students as well as excitement. These series books will really give my students the chance to fall in love and share their excitement in reading.

My students are children who want to learn.

They have the enthusiasm and excitement to want to read! Receiving these series books will really allow my students to be independent and active readers.
