My Students

We have an Airliner but no projector! Without a projector, we cannot use this piece of technology available to us!

Our students attend a diverse public school in an urban environment.

Many of my students participate in the free/reduced lunch program. A lot of the classrooms around us have Airliners and SMART Boards, and my students should have the same resources and opportunities that the other students have. Many of my students are visual learners and a projector will not only provide a good hook for a lesson, but a way for them to learn better.

My Project

I currently have an Airliner to use, but I have no projector to go with it. By getting a projector, I will have this wonderful piece of technology available to enhance my lessons. I can show my students video clips, relevant web sites, model skills to the whole group, use online resources available to the school, project student work...the possibilities are endless! When I am not showing them something, they can show each other things using the Airliner. By having this piece of equipment in our classroom, we will not have to try to schedule times to go to other classrooms to use their equipment. We can stay in our room and use it whenever we need! Technology is a huge part of the real world, and our classroom should reflect that.

This will be a piece of equipment that will not go to waste.

There are so many wonderful resources that will become available to my students with this projector. A piece of equipment like this spans all subjects and ability levels and can be used throughout the day by me AND my students!
