In 2010 technology is improving by leaps and bounds every day! It is my dream to keep my students up to date by bringing computers to life in my classroom!
Our small charter school is full of heart but low on funds.
We have an amazing community that truly supports each child's needs, but we are seriously lacking in modern technology to help our students prepare for the modern world that they are growing up in. The students are very eager and willing to learn! They work hard and share very well, especially for 6th graders! I want to provide them with the supplies so their natural curiosity can do the rest!
My Project
I want to make my class as technologically savvy as possible by the end of 6th grade. I would love for them to have first hand experience with creating technology based projects. An LCD projector will allow my students to easily share PowerPoint presentations, web sites and other computer based projects with their peers. Presenting their own technology projects in this manner hits many of the California State Standards for 6th grade.

The ability to create and present information using projectors and computers is a necessary part of business and college. A projector will allow my students to experience these things first hand. I will be able to teach my students technological skills that they will use for the rest of their lives.
