This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our children are our future. We are all citizens of this great country we call the United States. We all have a part in keeping this country great.

I work at a school with seven third grade classes.

Our team of third grade teachers use best practices and continue to look for resources to help students understand and feel excitement when learning the concepts and ideas we are teaching them. Our students love learning and these video will help achieve our goal of giving our students knowledge and the excitement of learning.

My Project

Each week we will teach third graders about our government, the who, why, and how our country is run, and our country's history. These DVDs will help our students, especially our ESL students, understand the structures, laws, and history so as they grow up they can have a positive impact on our society by voting and/or getting involved. Not only do we want students to understand our system of government, we want them to be excited about it because let's face it, they are our future leaders and voters. These DVD will help our third grade teachers accomplish both of these goals.
