My Students

Over 90% of my children receive free or reduced price lunch. Some of my 8th graders read on a 2nd grade level- 2nd grade! They need help more than anything, and they deserve the same resources as their suburban peers.

My amazing kids are smart, polite, funny, inquisitive, and ready to learn.

It's amazing to see the rate at which they learn when multimedia is involved. I teach every single student in the 8th grade, and I can't wait to send you all 120 of their thank you notes.

My Project

With this projector, I will be able to show students video clips of what is actually happening in the world around them. Many of them have never been outside their neighborhood- this will open their eyes to the world. 8th grade science is very weather heavy- my kids will watch tornadoes, hurricanes, and tsunamis happen. Without computers at home, these are things they would never see otherwise.

I'm working around the clock to make sure my students can compete in the global economy- help me make that a reality for them.
