This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"I currently teach 7th-12th grade Science classes at alternative psychiatric program. My students are labeled as Special Education. But their disabilities and levels of learning range the gambit of areas from extreme to simple.

My students have shown interest in Science and do well when I have used technology.

Unfortunately our program does not have the resources that I need. I have borrowed science kits and the students really enjoy those lessons unfortunately, I can only borrow materials once in a while and this makes it hard on the students.

My Project

It is my hope that a Donor would buy us Honeybee Development and Caste and a Bio-Quest Advanced Owl Pellet Kit Sea Creature Assortment Visa-Frog CD-Rom Hard & Soft Corals. These are all materials that can help my classes. The kits would give the students a chance to see these items. The Owl pellets are a way of exploring their waste products. The dissection software is a way of dissecting frogs without actually killing them.

I hope donors realize that some grants are used up quickly while others like this one keep benefiting students for years after.

This grant will help students for many years. It also opens doors to all kinds of new possibilities
