My Students

My students have the opportunity to take an Advanced Placement class--but our school doesn't have enough projectors for every classroom!

I have the honor of working with all high-school aged African American males, the most at-risk population in our nation's schools today.

For the last two years, I have been working to promote the highest achievers at our school, and together we've worked to a place where these guys are ready for an Advanced Placement class. These high achievers at our school deserve every resource I can give them.

My Project

Because my students will be enrolled for AP Art History this year, they need to be able to easily access the thousands of years of art and history we need to cover. We have no class set of books, and are working solely with what we can find on-line. Having a LCD Projector will let the students see the art, collectively, so that we can discover it, analyze it, and understand it, and learn man's creation of art through the course of history.

These students have a limitless potential, but they are limited by the resources they have available to them.

Giving us this opportunity to promote technology in the classroom and focus students towards their college ambitions.
