My Students

YouTube: It has changed the face of American culture in less than 5 years. Who hasn't watched something funny, entertaining, or amazing on YouTube? However, it's more than that. YouTube has become a teaching tool for the masses, especially the young. Help us use this tool to teach technology.

I have amazing students.

My students are 9-12 rural Kansas kids, but don't let that fool you. They have advanced technology skills that can rival many professionals. From robotics to electronic cars, from movie-making to web site building, my students explore the technology spectrum.

My Project

With Flip Video cameras, my students will be able to create "how to" videos in a snap. My students design individual technology projects, projects that develop skills for which each student has a passion. As part of the learning/teaching process, they are required to make "how to" videos that document their project process. Thus, their project is both instructional and personally productive. These projects and "how to" videos are posted on our YouTube channel for others to see and use.

Flip Video Cameras will make our recording seamless and portable.

Students can film robotic building in unusual angles and places. They can shoot and upload these projects quickly and efficiently.
