My students need a rabbit cage, water bottle, a self-feeder,& spool for nutrition to house a male rabbit to learn animal breeding.

My Students

Experiencing babies being born is something many high school students have never had the opportunity to experience. My students may not have seen baby rabbits be born, but they will through the support of this project.

My students go to school in a very rural area that has just consolidated with a bigger school in Arkansas.

My students are in high school and choose to take my class as an elective. I teach agriculture. These students know what it's like to work on a farm or live in a farming community, but many have never seen agriculture on a more personal level. Their school is very small with less than 350 students. My classroom size averages 15 students.

My Project

Many students do not know that agriculture makes the world go around even in something as small as rabbit reproduction. Through these resources, students will be able to house a male rabbit and learn about it's nutrition by feeding and watering it. They will learn how to care for it's health by providing the rabbit with nutridrops. In addition, the hutch is for breeding that will take place between the male and female rabbits.

My program must have all my FFA students involved in a supervised agricultural experience project.

Most of these students cannot afford their school lunch let alone an animal, a business, etc. This will allow the students an opportunity to have a project and see it grow.
