This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Presentation pizazz! My students need flash drives to be able to save their class projects and present them to their classmates, parents, and/or whole school on our interactive whiteboard.

My students live in a low socio-economic area with all of them receiving free lunches.

They seldom get to travel very far out of state, if at all. Mostly, their experiences of the world around them are limited to their neighborhoods. Consequently, their vocabulary tends to be just as limited.

My Project

It is my goal to help my students' experiences of the world broaden by showing them how to use technology to learn about people and places outside of their realm of influence. They will do simple research projects on the student computers in our classroom, save them to their flash drives, then present their projects. This will not only help them learn about their world, but will teach them much needed basic computer skills and public speaking skills.

Your donation to this project will allow my students this year and in many years to come be able to learn skills that will help them become productive citizens in our ever changing technological and career world.
