My Students

Can you imagine the excitement students will feel to see their own words in print!

I teach Reading/Language Arts in a rural elementary school in Georgia.

My students are in grades three through five. They are in a Resource Class for students with special needs. Many of them do not have access to technology at home. Their writing skills are very weak.

My Project

We are working to develop writing skills in our Language Arts class. A classroom printer/scanner will enable my students to "publish" their final work. This will be a great way to inspire them to write stories and poems. It will also allow them to utilize technology at an early age.

A classroom printer/scanner will be a tool to enhance learning and creativity for my special needs students.

They will truly feel like "Young Authors" when they are able to publish and share their stories and poems.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
