This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We love reading and need more books! Please help us reach our reading goals by providing us with new reading material.

We are a title I school, but that does not stop our motivation!

We love learning and show that everyday. Reading and writing are a huge part of our day. The new books I am requesting would be fabulous because I have looped with me students and they have read many of the books that I currently have in my library.

My Project

The 14 books that I have chosen will enrich the lives of my students because a book is the best give you could give a child. A child who succeeds in reading will succeed in life. Reading is the key to all areas of academic learning. But to reach success in reading, one must be exposed to good literature. The books will be used to enrich our writers workshop. Please help us reach our goals in reader's and writer's workshop! I am also requesting a variety of musical CD's, the music will be soothing during writer's workshop.

This project is very important because there is no better gift than the gift of literacy.

Reading and writing is the foundation to all other learning. Please share your passion for reading and support our project.
