My students need 6 atlases to help in their study of history and geography in an alternative school.

My Students

Help make history and geography more interesting with up-to-date maps.

My students are at-risk students in an alternative school setting.

It is a challenge to inspire them to study history and geography. They are 8th through 12th graders and the majority come from poverty. Most are a challenge, especially when it involves social studies!

My Project

These atlases will replace ones that are literally taped together. They were given to me 9 years ago. My students are constantly asking questions and it is difficult to capture and keep their interest when I don't have the materials to help them learn. An atlas is an invaluable resource in a social studies classroom and will help me teach map skills.

Since we are an alternative school, we are often at the bottom when it comes to doling out books and related materials.

This will make a huge difference in the classroom and will make my students' learning more interesting.
