My Students

Help us put the creative back into creative writing!

I teach a group of 23 third grade students that are bright, energetic and eager to learn.

I am at a TITLE I school, where we have at least 60% of our students on free or reduced lunch. Many of my student come from homes where there is little support and few resources for education.

My Project

Reading and writing go hand in hand. My students love to do both, but are on several different levels. Right now they are very excited about writing, but need to further develop their skills. We need need writing centers, games, prompt cards, and other instructional material to help improve writing skills as well as make it fun. I want all of my students to be writing and reading on grade level or above by the end of the year.

The funding of this project will engage students at all levels.

Not only will it help my children become better writers, but more fluent readers as well. Thank you for considering my proposal.
