My Students

Technology is changing the world. Please help change the life of a child in my classroom by providing them with the chance to gain exposure to a variety of multimedia and technological learning opportunities. Our technology resources are antiquated and preventing my students from learning digitally.

My students possess such unique qualities and abilities that add to the culture of our classroom.

They are resilient, although they reside in a poverty-stricken community where much of the housing is in dire need of renovations and regular maintenance. When I think of the housing conditions in this neighborhood, I immediately think of my students and what can I do to improve their lives. Although my students' lives are riddled with the negative effects of their home environment, school is one place that they feel safe and are inspired to make their biggest dreams come true. My students work so hard while at school. My students enhance the school academic atmosphere by practicing sight word recognition during lunch as well as mentoring younger students. My students love working on computers and are captivated by multimedia. Last year my first grade students typed and created CRCT Preparation guides using Microsoft Word. at the ages of 5 to 7. They yearn to be technologically literate.

My Project

Acquiring a LCD projector for my students ensures that my students will be able to learn Math, Science, Reading, Language Arts, and Social Studies in an engaging manner. For example, if donors help fund this project my students will be able to chat and watch video footage of their pen pals in China and learn about children across seas. It is crucial to the success of my students that they are able to interact with students of various cultures so they have a better understanding of how they can each have a positive influence in the world. If are LCD is funded students will also be able to participate in interactive lessons that draw students into core subjects areas they may have previously though were boring. With this LCD projector my students will be able to experience the world even if they to get the chance to leave the perimeter of their community. This LCD projector will enable my students to become world class citizens promoting and advocating for what is right for all people.

Over the last ten years technology has caused a significant increase in job opportunities in the technology field.

With your help my students could be the next biomedical engineers to design a life saving device, helping to save the lives of thousands, even millions. My students could be the next secretary of education, developing a way for all students to be compete globally. If we want a better world we must prepare our children to use the universal language of technology.
