Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Organization is the key to success. My students have a hard time remembering things, losing things or not being able to afford necessary supplies to be organized.

These students come from an urban area that is low-economic.

The families, for the most part, are Spanish speaking, or English is their second language to another language. The attend a public K-8 school with limited supplies. They are so motivated, though, if given the opportunity to engage in challenging and thought-provoking experiences.

My Project

Not only will these simple supplies give them organizational skills, but it will alleviate the stress of having to buy so many school supplies. I teach Language Arts only, and the amount of notebooks and supplies each subject teacher asks of them is so much! The expenses can be overwhelming for anyone.

Please help these students get off on the right foot for the school year.

Middle school is the hardest for them, and with these essentials in hand, they can focus on the content more than the materials they need.
