My Students

Don't you remember recess as a kid? Playing basketball with your buddies, skipping rope with girlfriends, holding hula hooping contests? Recess is a time for social and physical development. However, my students, after being at the school for two years- become bored with the playground and swings.

I teach a wonderful group of 2nd grade students, in a rural school.

These students are at an age where not only is their academic growth vital, but so is their social and physical development. They are active 7 and 8 year old boys and girls, who are always ready to burn off some energy!

My Project

The students will have everything they need for tons of fun, filled active play, in this one giant, value-packed kit. The kit features 10 durable playground balls in 3 different styles, 5 weighted jump ropes with easy-grip handles, 1 long, 14' jump rope for group activities, plus 10 color cones, 6 game hoops and 18 color and number beanbags that are perfect for coordination games, obstacle courses and more. There are a total of 50 pieces!!

This project is important because it will allow my students a chance to expand their social and physical development while using brand new outdoor recess equipment.

Donations made to this project will help kids during a vital time in their growth process, have access to equipment that will allow them to explore new games and activities with their classmates.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
