My Students

Did you ever have to come to school with out basic supplies because your parents couldn't afford them? Many of my students face this dilemma on a daily basis and it is hard to feel successful when you don't even have a pencil.

My students are wonderful little children who don't always get to feel like children.

We live in a low socioeconomic area where the parents are unable to purchase the simplest of school supplies. My students are like little sponges however, they don't always feel successful due to the lack of preparedness they have. If they knew they could start each class off with the things they need they would be more willing to participate and learn!

My Project

With the materials I am asking for the students will be able to start each day with the fundamental tool they would need to feel successful, a sharpened pencil. Without these tools a students has trouble doing work and feeling successful, but knowing that they will have what they need when they enter my classroom will help them start the day off feeling successful!

My students will be able to start their day off with a smile when they know they will have the one fundamental tool that they need a sharpened pencil.

With the help of our donors my students will be able to get straight to the point with the pencils and sharpeners I have requested for them.
