We want to capture the events and activities that we participate in at our school and community. We are a seventh and eighth grade junior high school. This is a suburban school that take students from four cities. We have students from different demographics and socio-economic backgrounds. They live in a digital age and need to capture the memories of our community and school service events to share with families and the community. My Project: We are requesting a digital camera. In today's difficult economy, it is hard to raise funding necessary. This camera will be used by students to document our progress throughout the year. We will be creating different community service projects such as raising money for breast cancer and children living with cancer. We want to do fundraising for our community service. We also will be creating academic shows to celebrate student success, this camera will help us to make slideshows for our academic shows as well as to take photos at the shows. We do great things at our school and community and want to make a difference. Currently for any technology, our teacher purchases it with her own personal money and it belongs to the teacher. We want to be able to have some equipment that belongs to the school. It will be for student use only. Students will be assigned to use the equipment and will learn responsibility to take care of the camera. We will share our projects with our donors so you can see what your donation has purchased. hide» My students need a digital camera to capture the memories and activities of the school year. details»
