My Students

Some of the best times I had while I was in school was when my class would go on a day long field trip. Whether to the beach or to the zoo, these built lasting memories in my head. My students love to go on field trips and these materials would allow them to share their experiences with everyone!

My students are six young men who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Part of the disorder is a decrease in social skills which inhibits my students from explaining where they went or what they did each day. These materials would help mend the gap in their socialization skills and provide them with the ability to show their friends, their family and even other teachers where they went that day.

My Project

The Sony digital camera and accessories offer user friendly use of photo and video materials which would be highly useful for my students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The simplicity of the use of these materials would allow my students to document their field trips and big event throughout the year. The ability to document on their own, their triumphs and memories will increase my students self-worth while teaching them socialization skills. These materials will be used exponentially throughout the classroom and the community to provide my students with state of the art education as well as memories to create a classroom yearbook, which they can keep for a lifetime!

Everyday I go into work and see the smiling faces of my students they remind me how wonderful the world can be.

Often times you hear everyone complain, but nope not my students. I signed up to be a special education teacher to make a difference in the loves of my students and that is a personal goal of mine. These materials would be the start to bettering the lives of my students which in the end is what every educator wants
