My Students

Arithmetic is numbers you squeeze from your head to your hand to your pencil to your paper till you get the answer. ~Carl Sandburg, "Arithmetic" Math can be a challenge to any student. It is definitely a challenge when a teacher needs more resources to keep her students engaged.

For the 2010-11 school year, I will have 5 students in a self contained special education class.

My students vary on grade and instructional levels. I will have one student in Kindergarten, one in first grade, two in third grade, and one in fourth grade. Their instructional levels range between 18 months to first grade. My students and I have formed a very special family in my classroom.

My Project

With the math resources, I will have more variety in my teaching. Throughout the school year, I will have assessments due on my student. The resources can easily help me in my assessments. The laminate film will be used to laminate activities and projects used in my class. The bulletin board storage bags can be used to store the activities as well as bulletin board sets.

My math resources are limited in my storage closet.

I can really use the resources to add variety to my teaching. Of course, they can surely be used in years to come with other students. With projects and activities being laminated, they will last longer and can be used at later dates as well.
