Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every time my students use our current easel not only do I monitor their learning but I also have to monitor the easel. Our current easel is very large and unstable. We have had several close calls in our classroom where the easel has almost fallen on one or more of the students.

My first grade students are amazing!

They come from many different cultures and countries and bring many different experiences to our classroom. Many of them are learning English as a second language and come from under privileges homes. Although our school is very old we have found ways to make it a wonderful learning environment for the students. Our school was lucky enough to get government funding in the past, however because of the economic downfall our school is now losing that funding and my students will be missing out on many of the things that were previously ordered. For many of my students school is their safe place, it is the place to learn and have fun with friends!

My Project

I am asking for your help to provide my students with a new large stable easel for our classroom. This easel would allow my students to have many interactive learning experiences. It would allow them to practice writing as a group, complete math problems in from of their peers, record science experiments, and so much more. The large storage area and bins would also help to keep all of my student's materials readily available and at easy access while they use the easel. Young children love to write and I would love to be able to provide a safe place for them to write in front of their peers.

Please help fund this project so that my students will have a safe place to write.

With a new easel in our classroom I will be able to focus entirely on my student's eduction without worrying about the easel falling!
