My Students

Have you ever had a computer crash or a power surge in the middle of a project and lost everything? With all the classes it is hard for the music students to get access to computers every day in order to work on assigned musical projects.

My students are in grades 7 through 12.

Many come from low income families and only have access to a computer at school. They must save their projects many times in order to complete a project because they only have a certain amount of time to work on a computer each day. When the student comes back to work on the project he/she must make sure to work on the same computer each time because that is the computer on which the work has been saved.

My Project

If each of the music students had a flash drive he/she would be able to save project and essay work and carry it with them. The student would be able to work at any computer as the work would be saved on the flash drive. Those students who have home computers could also work on individual projects at home as well as at school.

If each student could have a flash drive on which to keep saved work the student could complete more work or projects in a more timely manner.

Students would be able to raise learning potential and project success with these flash drives.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
