My Students

"Capture the faces and see them forever." Preserve the hard work and accomplishments of our students in pictures to share, print, and publicize. Help students learn the ins and outs of digital photography, yearbook, and technology. Also help them remember all of the highlights of each school year.

Our students are in grades K through 5th.

They are beginning their second year in a newly created magnet school located in a older school building. They worked very hard last year in fundraising to get some things we needed for our school. While we have a way to go to get the resources we need to meet and challenge the high achievers, we have made great strides in our first year. These students are like sponges: eager to soak up knowledge on a variety of subjects and media.

My Project

Good cameras are the key to creating a lifelong memory of our school, our students, and our accomplishments. One camera would give our students working with technology, yearbook, etc. a way to learn, practice, and capture all the events and moments of their classmates throughout the year to use in different forms of media. However, several cameras would give us the ability to collaborate in several classrooms and to host an enrichment class on digital photography.

This project is very important to us since we currently don't have any photography equipment for the students and staff to use to in the different media areas like art, photography, yearbook, etc.
