"I am a fourth grade teacher at one of the largest elementary schools in New York City. Nearly 100% of the students get a free lunch, and the school has a large range of ethnicities and cultures represented. My class of 30 enthusiastic students are always looking for new ways to expand their learning experience.

Research has shown, and the kids' eyes show, that students learn better when material is presented colorfully and brightly. A large, movable white board is exactly what my classroom could use to make this hope a reality. The students love to write with the markers on the one small board we have, and are always wishing we could do more. The white boards give them a greater sense of pride as their work stands out much clearer for all to see.

My students really enjoy working with white boards when we work in small groups. Because chalk can sometimes be hard to see, there are some students who have to work even harder during the day to learn the material. The white board would solve many problems and create a brighter, more exciting class environment.

Whether I'm teaching math, social studies, writing, reading, or any subject, it is always important to keep my students engaged. Having a colorful display can go a long way toward this goal, and it adds to a brighter, more cheerful classroom environment. Gone are the days of dusty chalk and hard-to-read boards. The new dry erase system really works well and would be a wonderful addition to the classroom.

The cost of a mobile easel is $537, including shipping and fulfillment ?.

Dear Daniel, Thao, Jason, Audrey, Beverly Goldberg, Joshua and Anonymous Donors,
With your help, this dry-erase board will become an essential part of our classroom. The students have been asking me almost daily about when it will come and I will be very happy to let them know it will be on the way to make our classroom a brighter and more engaging place. Thanks again. Your help goes a long way toward lowering the achievement gap.
Best,
Mr. D
