My Students

My students love to do research projects and access new curriculum websites on the computer. Unfortunately, the monitors we have in the classroom are very old, bulky, and unreliable. Our town is in a fiscal crisis and is unable to supply our school with the updated technology we need.

I teach at a school in Massachusetts.

The school is home to about 400 third and fourth graders. There are twenty-one students in my third grade classroom this year. Over the years my students have always been very interested in technology but unfortunately some of my students do not have computer access at home and our classroom equipment is outdated.

My Project

The computer monitors I am requesting for my students will have a huge impact on their learning. They will be able to access some wonderful new curriculum websites, do research projects, and learn many more computer skills. My students with learning disabilities will feel more successful because they will be able to work independently on an assignment, as many of the curriculum websites are leveled and adjusted to different learning styles and abilities. Overall, the new computer monitors will enhance their learning and be a fantastic asset to the classroom.

Donations to this request will make a great difference in the lives of my students and especially the children who do not have computer access at home.

The children will have much better access to the curriculum by using websites that go along with their textbooks. Our town cannot afford to replace our old, outdated, unreliable monitors. Your donation to this project will enhance the lives of many students for years to come.
