Digital Media For A New Room

My Students

As a one woman art department, I do all I can to compete with the big schools. I can't offer specialized classes in different materials and digital media is one area where I or the district just can't afford the materials.

The vast majority of my students live at or below the poverty level.

Many have no computer access at home. For the students I have that aspire to attend college for art, they leave my program with NO experience with digital art creation or editing. Many times, I buy college portfolio supplies out of my own pocket. However, with all that has been stacked against them, in 8 years, 7 students have attained admission to four year art programs.

My Project

This adobe software would give my students the same type of experience as the more affluent schools in the area. It will help them to create the digital portfolios that art schools expect to see from incoming freshman. This software will allow them to submit the strongest applications to college possible and be more competitive in scholarship competitions.

My students already to work harder to achieve their goals.

I do my best, by myself, to expose them to all of the art media available in larger school districts. Please help to give my worthy students the opportunity to achieve their dreams!
