My Students

Do your children live in homes where paper and pencil are not readily available? Many of mine do.

I teach two classes of Inclusion students from various socioeconomic backgrounds.

I don’t grade homework because many of my students don’t have supplies at home to complete it. My school is a Title I school in Florida where at least 70% of the total population receives free and reduced lunch.

My Project

With the materials that I am asking for, I will be able to integrate my curriculum with Technology. With the cameras, students can take pictures for classroom activities, displays, and projects. During the school year, we visit places that are influential to the mastery of the curriculum. In a single year, we visit the Castillo de San Marco located in the oldest city in the U.S., the Museum of Science and History, and Historical Plantations, just to name a few. Cameras would allow us to bring these experiences and knowledge back into the classroom. Being the writing teacher, I teach students to produce many genres of work using various media. The printer will give the students the ability to publish some of their own work within and beyond the classroom. This will keep them highly motivated. With the timers, students can work independently or in groups on their fluency. They will be able to track their progress and set new goals as they become more proficient readers.

Please help my students by affording them opportunities they will never forget.

The experiences that you help me give my students will produce memories that will last a lifetime. These are children who do not have computers, printers and cameras at home. They will forever be grateful for your sacrifice and generosity. Thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts!
