My Students

Do you remember much of kindergarten? .....probably not, but you remember having fun! This video camera will give us the opportunity to catch those fun moments and save them, so they can be looked back upon for days and years to come!

My students are joyful and expressive, loving and outgoing.

They come from homes and communities that do not have the resources to give these amazing students the experience of being stars on camera! My school is comprised of 99% African-American students who are 99% low income students in an urban environment. These students attend a neighborhood school with all the hopes and dreams of any other 5 year old! And it is our obligation to keep their eyes wide open to the possibilities!

My Project

They can flourish in an environment that accepts and pushes them. Being able to see themselves as "movie stars" will open their eyes to the possibilities of being anything they want to be when they are older! The joy of learning and excelling will forever be instilled in these students, and you can be apart of making that happen for them!

When you ask a kindergartener what they want to be when they grow up, you can get all sorts of answers, from a butterfly, a princess, a movie star, a doctor, and police officer.

It is imperative that we keep these youngsters inspired to reach for those goals and dreams, and having this camera and being able to look back at their successes will be a HUGE part of keeping that dream alive!
