This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine what it would be like to read and write without worrying about a thing? Well, with these magic boards, the students can practice writing without worrying about having any papers!

I will be teaching 27 first graders who the majority are English Language learners and about 87% of these students are on free school lunch.

They need all the support that they can to get a head start in life. They are all little first graders who are eager to learn and inquire new adventures in their little world.

My Project

With the states budget cut, school supplies such as paper, glue, pencils, paints and have been taken away from our students. This is not fair to them. With these magic boards, we would no longer have to worry about receiving papers for our students. They can now practice writing on the magic boards. It will help reduce stress for those students who are afraid to write their ideas down on paper. It will give them opportunity to practice writing without looking for paper. They will find a new and engaging way to write stories on their magic boards. Then they can copy their final draft onto paper.

With the magic boards, you will help students discover that writing is magical!

They will be inspired to write stories on their magic boards. We need to have our children build a strong foundation when they are young. Reading and writing will provide them with the opportunity to open the windows to a brighter future.
