Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am an art teacher at a public school that serves students from Kindergarten to 8th grade. I teach about 500 students of various grade levels each week.

My students are from low income families who often cannot send art supplies for their children.

We are facing large scale budget cuts in our schools district-wide. They are responsible, hard working students who love to help clean up the room. The problem? We are lacking cleaning supplies. My sink is in a tiny supply closet which students do no have access to.

My Project

My students deserve the basic tools to create wonderful, bright and colorful artwork. As an art teacher I know how important and necessary basic supplies are each year. Having the proper cleanup supplies will give my students the materials they need to produce amazing works of art. Please help make dirty tables and hands a thing of the past! Your donation will give my art students motivation to produce artwork that they can take pride in.

Please allow my students the opportunity to become a community of artists that take pride in their school and share in the responsibility of proper cleanup.

I know they will be happier and healthier and will be able to take on the most messy, creative projects out there!
