Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Organization is an important life skill I like to instill in my students at a young age.

Our school is in NYC.

Our neighborhood is composed of low income families. Many of our parents need assistance with buying supplies for their children or our classroom. In September, our new team will consist of 1st & 2nd grade students. There will be a total of 23 members in our team (class).

My Project

This school year with such a large group, we will need all the help we can get with getting and staying organized. As a team, we will organize classroom centers and the materials in them to create a warm, comfortable, and productive environment. Everything will have its place enabling students to be very independent in the classroom. Some materials include hall passes, pocket charts, bins, and a classroom laminating machine. The laminating machine will help us protect the labels and favorite pieces of work we produce as a team. The students will learn how to work together as a team while creating our classroom environment, a skill that will ensure success for the rest of their lives!
